Napoli could be tempted into a swap deal that would see Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa move to Italy with Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik coming the other way.

Japanese international Kagawa has found himself back in the United team in recent matches after an initially frustrating period under David Moyes at Old Trafford. However, despite recent appearances, the 26-year-old is expected to leave in the summer with a whole host of European clubs keeping tabs on him. One such club is Serie A side Napoli who are looking to add some creativity to their midfield as the future of Hamsik continues to become more uncertain. Slovakian international Hamsik has recently found himself left out of Rafa Benitez’s team after a dip in form. The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to United in the summer and FootballDirectNews.com understands that his club could be tempted to let him go, especially if Kagawa was part of the deal.
Hamsik has managed 6 goals and 5 assists in all competitions this term, and may benefit from a move to a new club to get his promising career back on track. Rebuilding the midfield this summer is one of the priorities for Moyes and he has been linked with a number of targets, including Roma’s Miralem Pjanic and Juventus’ Arturo Vidal.
