Arsenal are likely to accept loan offers for young striker Yaya Sanogo next season, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The 21-year-old, who only just joined the Gunners from Auxerre last summer, has barely featured for Arsene Wenger’s side in this campaign, making just five appearances in all competitions so far. With Arsenal expected to open the chequebook for some big-name striker signings in the next transfer window, it seems unlikely that Sanogo will work his way into Wenger’s starting lineup anytime soon, with Olivier Giroud already the established first choice upfront for the north London side. It is not yet clear if there are any clubs interested in the French Under-21 international, but an Arsenal source believes the club will be open to offers if they arrive in the next few months, as Sanogo could benefit from the experience of regular first-team football elsewhere.

Although the youngster is a highly regarded prospect at the Emirates Stadium, his displays this season have arguably shown that he is not ready to be part of the first-team squad. I think Wenger would like him (Sanogo) to go out on loan, a club insider explained. “We’ve not had any offers yet, but we’ll see what happens in the summer. “Click here to enter and win two tickets to watch Arsenal – Swansea on Tuesday, 25th.
