A number of clubs could look to pounce as Real Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez appears to be considering his future at the club, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The 21-year-old striker is one of the most highly regarded prospects in Spanish football at the moment, though he faces a great deal of competition for places at the Bernabeu due to the presence of several big-name and big-money signings such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Despite impressing on his limited appearances in the first-team for Real this season, Rodriguez is concerned that he may have to look elsewhere to play regularly at the top level. Arsenal and Liverpool could be his main suitors from the Premier League, with the two sides in the market for attacking players, while there is also likely to be interest from Italian clubs Inter Milan and Napoli. Arsenal have also been linked several times with Rodriguez’s team-mate Alvaro Morata, another youngster at the club thought to be close to leaving for first-team football, though he is understood to no longer be their main target. Something could happen with Rodriguez at Real Madrid, an Arsenal source revealed. “He’s not happy with his role there and I think we could tempt him as we’d give him games. Liverpool could be the main rivals for him, but Inter Milan and Napoli are interested too. “To win two tickets to see Arsenal vs Swansea City on the 25th of March, visit our Facebook page!
