Liverpool: Real Madrid ponder Reds swap deal
30th January 2014 7:53pm GMT
Real Madrid could be willing to offer one of their youngsters to Liverpool as part of a deal to land Luis Suarez in the summer, SportsDirect News understands.
Although the Spanish giants have decided against a January bid for the Uruguayan, he remains a top target for the summer transfer window, and they are prepared to weigh up a number of options as they look to tempt Liverpool into selling.
It is thought that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants talented youngster Isco as part of any potential deal, though Real Madrid are unlikely to part ways with the playmaker, who is regarded as one of the best young players in the world at the moment.
Real may instead look to offload striker Alvaro Morata as part of the deal. The 21-year-old has struggled to make an impact on the club's first team, though his potential and promise has seen him emerge as a target for the likes of Arsenal in recent times.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will see Morata as an adequate replacement for Suarez, and they may instead demand that Real meet his £70million release clause, which will come into effect if the Merseyside giants fail to qualify for the Champions League.
