Arsenal: Barca striker in latest link

Barcelona striker Cristian Tello is the latest in a growing line-up of possible forwards Arsenal could move for during the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Spain international is the latest player the Gunners are said to be showing an interest in with a potential move to the north London side, according to reports in Spain.
Speculation that the club could be actively searching for a hit man were increased after the long-term injury of Theo Walcott during their game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger appeared to stop talk that he was interested in Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and said at his press conference on Friday: “We are not in talks. With Real about anybody.”
That has left observers in Spain to look elsewhere with the spotlight apparently falling on the rising star at the Camp Nou who could command a fee in the region of £10.5 million, should Wenger decide to move for the forward.
Tello has spent most of his career with the Catalan side and was with the side’s youth team from 2002-8 before spending two season with Espanyol before returning to Barca. Tello progressed to the first team in 2011 where he has now made 48 appearances and fired in 10 goals. However Tello is under contract with the Blaugrana until 2018.
