PSG & Monaco back in for Nasri
6th June 2013 1:46pm BST
Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco have reignited their interest in Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri and plan to offer him an escape route away from the Etihad Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini, who is set to become the next Citizens manager, plans to bring playmaker Isco to the northwest from his former club Malaga in the near future.
With the Spain international’s arrival and City star David Silva still at the club, Nasri will fall further down the midfield pecking order with 2012’s Premier League champions.
The 25-year-old was recently recalled to the France national squad after being hit with a three-game ban for swearing at a journalist and has stated that he is extremely keen to prove his worth with Les Bleus.
But he will need first team football in order to do so and SportsDirect News understands that both PSG and Monaco are looking to earn his signature and bring the former Marseille man back to France.
City will look to recuperate a large percentage of the £25 million they paid Arsenal for the attacking midfielder and believe they can get somewhere in the region of that fee from one of the two big-spending Ligue 1 clubs.
