West Ham: Inter Milan veteran linked

West Ham United are considering a move for veteran Inter Milan striker Diego Milito this January, SportsDirect News understands.
The 34-year-old has been a key player for Inter for the last few years, enjoying particular success in the 2009/10 season as he fired the club to the treble, scoring two goals against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
However, injuries have affected his form in recent times, and it is now expected that he will be allowed to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, with rumours suggesting he is set to return to his native Argentina.
Still, West Ham are determined to bring in a new striker this January due to a shortage of options in that position following a long-term heel injury to Andy Carroll, and it is understood that Milito is one of several options interesting manager Sam Allardyce.
The Argentine could be available on the cheap due to his contract situation and current squad player status at the San Siro, and would be an ideal short-term option for the Hammers as they wait for Carroll to return to full fitness.
Having spent much of his career in La Liga and Serie A, Milito may be tempted to have one last shot at the big time with a spell in the Premier League.
